Mitsubishi Introduces
Hybrid Forklift Truck at Bauma Exhibition

Zayani Motors the exclusive dealers of
Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks in the kingdom of
Bahrain looks forward to introducing the new
range of hybrid ‘environment-friendly’ forklifts
after its successful launch at the Bauma
exhibition held in Munich, Switzerland last
week.
The world’s first
lithium-ion-battery/diesel-engine forklift truck
developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI)
is already in production in Japan, where it was
launched as the first ever 4.0 to 5.0 tonne
capacity hybrid forklift.
In a move reaffirming the manufacturer’s
commitment to producing environmentally
friendly, innovative and highly efficient
trucks, the company will focus specifically on
meeting customer needs when introducing these
hybrids in the market. The new additions will
expand the already comprehensive range of
Mitsubishi counterbalance and warehouse truck
models.
Forklift truck applications typically involve
many short acceleration and deceleration cycles
with a high energy demand, which is why the use
of hybrid technology in forklifts can be so
beneficial. With a unique forklift powertrain
design, comprising a high-capacity lithium-ion
battery, a compact, low-emission diesel engine,
two induction motors and an inverter, Mitsubishi
has cut engine displacement by one-third and
significantly reduced CO2 emissions.
‘Mitsubishi’s forklift trucks combine high
specifications and performance with competitive
prices to deliver outstanding value for money.
With virtues of dependability, affordability and
efficiency the new range of hybrid forklifts
will be absolutely ideal for today’s fast-paced
and developing economy,’ said Zayani Motors
Marketing Manager, Mr. Jimmy Chamata.
Zayani Motors are also the exclusive dealers of
Mitsubishi Motors, FUSO Truck & Bus Corporation,
Eicher and Freightliner in the Kingdom.
